Dr. Laxmaiah Manchikanti Offers Comments In Paducah Sun Article On KHIP Pain Medication Poll

BY WILL PINKSTON, THE PADUCAH SUN- Amid state efforts to curb prescription pain medication abuse, new polling data indicates as many as one in three Kentucky adults know of a friend or family member who has experienced problems resulting from the abuse of pain drugs.

The Kentucky Health Issues Poll, funded by the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky and the Health Foundation of Greater Cincinnati, found additionally that more than half of Kentucky adults were prescribed such opioids in the past five years.

Senator Paul Performs Free Surgery at Paducah's Ambulatory Surgery Center

Paducah Center - The Pain Management Center is located in a 21,000 square foot building on Lone Oak Road as part of the Pain Management Pavilion, which also houses the Ambulatory Surgery Center and Paducah Physical Therapy. We plan and supervise all programs, tracking treatments, and handling case management. The Center is equipped with the most state-of-the-art equipment in this area. Marion Center - The Pain Management Center of Marion is located in a 6000 square foot building on Airway Drive, which also houses the Pain Care Surgery. We plan and supervise all programs, tracking treatments, and handling case management. More >>>

What is interventional pain management?
Interventional pain management is the discipline of medicine devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of pain and related disorders with the application of interventional techniques in managing subacute, chronic, persistent, and intractable pain, independently or in conjunction with other modalities of treatments.

Appointments are made through our office from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday by phoning (618) 997-7820 in Marion, IL or (270) 554-8373 in Paducah, KY. In case of an emergency, you may reach the Center's physician at the Center (618) 997-7820. If you have any serious complications or side effects, please report to the closest emergency room and inform the physician to contact the Center.
